“My mother and father-in-law lived at the Community for many years. They experienced many of the levels of care that were available. The staff treated them like family. Many staff members have been employed here for over 20 years! It is obvious that this is more than a “job” for them. I can truly say that the happiest years of my mother-in-law’s life were spent at FUMC. The communication between FUMC and my family was helpful and considerate. I am happy to recommend FUMC.” Read more testimonials here.Margie Fendley
We offer Independent Living in a neighborhood setting in Brookside, our modern day retirement suburb, which consists of 194 superb single and paired-patio homes ranging from 800 to 2,000 square feet, with many of them including sunrooms and two-car garages. We also offer Independent Living in our apartments located in the Wesley Center. You can choose from a studio, one bedroom, or two bedroom apartment.
Residents interested in Assisted Living Apartments may choose from studio, one bedroom or two bedroom apartments that are available in Wesley Center. A nursing station staffed by certified aides or licensed nurses is appropriately located on each Assisted living level, thereby providing quality care, assistance and coordination of services. Not to worry, if you were already in an Independent Apartment and require more assistance, there is no need to move. We would simply add the additional services you need right in your own apartment.
We pride ourselves on having a reputation for providing quality rehabilitative therapy. Our admissions team is available 7 days a week to accommodate individual needs for admissions and after hour inquiries. Our beautiful rehab suites are just the place to recover from an injury, illness or surgery. We have helped thousands of patients not only regain their strength, but regain their independence and quality of life after a medical or surgical event. We have two therapy gyms with state-of-the-art equipment and a dedicated staff that is onsite 7 days a week. We offer Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy for inpatient and outpatient needs. To learn more about our Rehab program and our Therapy services, please call 317-736-7185.
Franklin United Methodist Community has three Special Memory Care areas designed to accommodate residents diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of Dementia. We were one of the first in the industry to recognize the three stages of Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, so we created three levels of Special Memory Care. Our goal will never change just because the diagnosis does. We strive to give each resident their best day…every day. Each resident is provided care by our dedicated and specially trained staff. They are also engaged in the highest level of interaction through our specialized programming.
“The goal of each Special Care area is to provide accommodations for residents in an environment conducive to independent functioning, while maintaining their personal respect and dignity.”
24-hour Health Center
Our compassionate and experienced nurses work to provide our residents with the highest level of respect and care. Our first priority is to maintain their personal wellness and satisfaction in a long term nursing care environment where we strive to address each resident’s individual care needs. In addition to our nursing staff, the Health Center incorporates Social Services staff, Activity Directors and Restorative personnel to enrich our resident’s lives every day.
FUMC offers respite services for caregivers of loved ones with 24 hour care needs. Respite quite literally translates to a break or rest. Often times taking care of a loved one can be overwhelming and time consuming. Because caregivers need time to themselves, FUMC offers respite on a daily or even weekly basis. While their caregiver is taking personal time, their loved one will be given the same consideration and care that all our residents receive. This also includes medical care if need, as well as social and emotional support.
FUMC also offers Hospice services for those with advanced or terminal illness. Family members can feel confident that their loved one will receive the appropriate care and support, while remaining comfortable and pain-free. Support and social services are also available for family members and residents utilizing hospice services.
